Universal Motor Holder
If you want to carry out your own conversion, the
motor can be mounted very easily and safely into the model with this
patented motor holder system.
The system is designed to use two different motors - one has the same
outer diameter and bolt circle as the standard 540/550 motors
(diameter 36mm (1.42") and bolt circle 25mm (0.98")). The other motor
can be a bigger version with a diameter from 36-45mm (1.42"-1.77"),
wich also has to have a bolt circle of 25mm (0.98"). Up to 90mm (3.54")
long motors can be used - ideal for any 1:10 and 1:8 model car and even
bigger monster trucks or up to 1:5 scale models can be converted easily.
The patented motor holder allows the use of one OR the other motor types, but it is possible (without making new bores to the chassisplate) to switch from a smaller motor to a bigger motor (or vice versa) in the same car. Included in the package are several hex type screws (10.9 quality), two holders made from 5mm thick (0.20") 6061 T6 Aluminium and even a special bore help in 1:1 scale for easier making of the 4 needed mounting bores in the chassisplate. The mounting of the set is described in a 2-page manual available in German and English. Depending on the model and mounting position you´re able to push the motor within a 10-12 teeth range (for example from 10T to 20T motor pinions can be used without making new bores to the chassisplate). The upper brace is delivered in a universal length and has to be shortened on your own. Therefore any motor lenght of up to 90mm (3.54") can be used. A possible break of the front or back motor plate (or shaft bending a.s.o.) is much reduced and nearly impossible.
